A-TEK Overview

Since its inception in 1996, A-TEK has become a recognized leader in securing scientific and technology solutions. A-TEK supports myriad satisfied customers across the federal government, to include: U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Department of Justice, National Institutes of Health, and U.S. Department of Agriculture.  With nearly 200 employees in 30 cities across the Continental U.S., A-TEK provides high end technology solutions, coupled with a leading edge scientific capability that supports our country’s national security and the intelligence mission of our customers.

The year 2010 marked a major milestone in the history of A-TEK.  Recently, A-TEK, Inc. was acquired, in an equity transaction, by entrepreneur’s Kathryn and R. Gregory Freeland, the former Chief Executive Officer and President of RGII Technologies, Inc.  RGII, formerly based in Annapolis, Maryland, was acquired by Computer Horizons Corp. in 2003, after experiencing record growth and profitability during its sixteen year history, supporting nine federal cabinet agencies in the areas of information technology and engineering solutions.

The Freeland’s entrée back into the federal market after a four year hiatus with the acquisition of A-TEK, Inc. marks the return of two passionate entrepreneurs, with a focus on growth, value, vision and knowledge of the federal government contracting environment.  Together, they bring passion, expertise and commitment as the new executive leadership of
A-TEK, along with A-TEK’s founder and former owner, Debbie Rieger.
