At the 2002 National Institutes of Health (NIH) Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC) Awards Ceremony held April 2, 2002, Ms. Debbie Mays (now Rieger), President of A-TEK, was presented the Industry Advisory Council (IAC) Superior Service Award for her efforts in providing outstanding support to the NITAAC Program.
"A-TEK has been extremely successful in capturing the Government markets due to the utilization of the NIH contracting vehicles. This is primarily because of their ease of use and ability to provide our customers with the products and services that they require within a short time period," said Ms. Mays as quoted by the Federal Computer Week.
The NITAAC Industry Advisory Council has been established and chartered to support and promote the partnership between the NIH and its 133 Prime Vendors representing the ECS III, Image World2nd and CIO-SP2i contract vehicles. The primary function of the Council is to serve as a communication and information exchange on issues related to the overall improvement and performance of the contracts. The Council participates in promoting the contracts through outreach and educational programs, and by recommending new mechanisms as the need and opportunity presents.
